Whitstable Metal Shield Spade - Plastic free and ready for the beach

We're on a mission to introduce more non-plastic products and these brightly coloured metal spades with wooden handles are brilliant eco-friendly alternatives for the traditional plastic variety - they're more durable too and perfect for sand castle empire building, crabbing and rock pooling.

We have matching metal sand castle buckets and plastic free crabbing lines. Don't forget to keep the crabs happy with sea water frequently refreshed to keep it at the right temperature for the crabs and return them gently to the sea when you finish.

Also great for having fun with digging in the garden, giving them life after the beach. The spades are approximately 65cm tall. Blue or Red will be chosen at random for you.

Superb spades

Brilliant at Filey beach today. Grandson very happy with three large castles built, topped with your vintage flags.
Previous attempts with plastic spades were difficult as they bent and struggled to cope with the compact sand.
