Refund policy
Returns - We have a 30 day returns policy
We want you to be 100% happy with everything your order from George's, but you can return an item for a refund or exchange for any reason within 30 days from the date of delivery. However if 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Sale items can be returned within 14 days for a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Exceptions are damaged or faulty items where packaging was removed before discovering an issue.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. This includes any personalised products, multi packs that have been separated and gift cards.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please contact us in the first instance to confirm that you would like to return an item (as in certain circumstances e.g. item broken in transit, it may be that we do not require it to be returned before arranging a refund although we will ask for proof, e.g. photos of the damaged item). Also by contacting us at the earliest opportunity if you want an exchange, we can check stock and hold a replacement item for you.
Shipping:
To return your product, you should mail your product to: George's, 15 - 17 High Street, Whitstable, CT5 1AP, United Kingdom
Please ensure you return an item with adequate packaging and postage and ascertain proof of postage. George's of Whitstable will not be responsible for items lost in the post without proof of postage. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition, with damage or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any damaged or faulty item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Issues with refund:
If you think your refunded amount is incorrect, or haven’t received a refund after 14 days and have checked with your bank / card issuer etc., please contact us at lucy@georgesonline.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve any issue as quickly as possible.
Sale items:
Sale items can only be refunded or exchanged if returned within 14 days.
Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card will be emailed to you (please ensure you enclose an email address).
